About embroidery help

Hello! So glad you could join me. My name is Joyce Fletcher and I have owned and operated Exact Design Custom Embroidery (emb589@yahoo.com) for 15 years. I sure wish I had some one’s help way back then when I was ruining so many garments and just plugging ahead learning as fast as I could. Yes, the trade magazines were a blessing for embroidery help but experience is the best teacher and once you put a hole in a shirt, clear a birds nest and any number of other problems an embroidery machine operator deals with, you never make that mistake again!

MY EMBROIDERY HISTORY:

I started my business like so many other embroidery businesses did, in a spare room in my home. My husband was very supportive and helped me in so many ways. It worked out perfectly while raising my daughter because it allowed me to be home with her and raise her myself. It didn’t take long, (about 6 years later when I was trying to decorate our Christmas tree), before I realized that I just couldn’t expect my family to live among cases and cases of garments and supplies any longer. I then moved my embroidery business to a retail store in our home town. Putting a value on the thousands of hours I have spent trying to master our business is impossible. The result is, however, that I know what each design and machine needs to get the results that a customer wants and the results that I personally demand from myself. So, take a look through the tips and tricks, techniques and hints I’ve laid out and see if I can make your day a little easier. Check back often as I will be adding and tweaking on a daily basis.
